About Being

My Grandpa recently brought over boxes of old home-videos he had captured over the years.

We all sat down for hours and joyfully watched my family members simply living and loving on one another. It was beautiful to witness.

What truly hit me after we finally pushed stop, was that for so many of my family members who were here and are now gone — I have no idea what they did.

No idea where they worked. No idea what they created. No idea what legacy they were attempting to leave. No idea how they spent their lives *doing*.

What I do remember however, was their *being*.

I remember exactly how my Great Grandmother Lucille made me feel, what her energy felt like in the room, and who she was to her core.

It’s this beautiful reminder that in the end, it’s not about *doing* — it’s about *being*.

So as I currently lean into this strong urge to *be* rather than to *do* — I smile knowing that it’s enough. We are enough. This beautiful moment is enough.

And I’m so grateful to *be here*. ✨

A lesson that Ben continues to teach me.
